Areas of Interest / Specialization

My research field includes calculation of accurate collision strengths, radiative and autoionisation transition probabilities, photoionisation cross-sections, oscillator strengths and wavelengths of allowed and forbidden transitions, which are urgently needed for modeling astrophysical objects and interpretation of observational data obtained from space missions EUVE, ASCA, HST, SOHO.

Awards and Distinctions

Recommended as an expert by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)  Vienna, Austria to make valuable contribution to Meeting of the Global Network for the Atomic and Molecular Physics of Plasmas (GNAMPP) from 6-10 December 2020 to review and assess the lateset practices in the fundamental physics of plasma environments by delivering a talk in th event.

Acknowledged among top 5 scoreres in the concluding exam held after successful completion of course organised by Ohio State University USA on "Atomic Astrophysics and Spectroscopy with Computational Workshops on the SUPERSYRUCTURE and R matrix codes" held online with 101 global participants from more than 11 countaries in October-November 2020.

Received many scholarships and awards including the University Post Graduate scholarship for the years 1994-1996 and the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Physical Sciences under the CSIR Fellowship schemes. Qualified the Joint CSIR-UGC NET (national level exam) in 1997.
